This holiday season, young creators across the country are learning the joy of giving back, one hand-colored thank-you card at a time.

At Lowe’s DIY-U kids workshops, children recently gathered to build festive wooden letter boxes and craft personalized cards to express their appreciation for members of the U.S. military.
The initiative, created in partnership with the United Service Organizations (USO), brings Lowe’s values to life: empowering families, supporting veterans and strengthening the communities we call home.

The handmade cards, full of color, gratitude and heartfelt messages, will be delivered to USO locations nationwide and distributed to deployed service members during the holidays. It is a small gesture that carries a big message: we see you, we thank you and you are not forgotten.

Lowe’s long-standing partnership with the USO is rooted in shared values and a commitment to those who serve. Through volunteerism, product donations and community engagement, Lowe’s continues to honor active-duty military, veterans and their families, not just during the holidays, but all year long.
