With many families facing food insecurity as SNAP benefits are disrupted during the government shutdown, Lowe’s is partnering with WCNC Charlotte and Nourish Up, formerly Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, for an emergency food drive to help neighbors in urgent need.

Lowe’s will match every donation, dollar for dollar, up to $100,000. The effort aims to accelerate relief and ensure children, seniors and working families have consistent access to nutritious food during this critical time.
Nourish Up is collecting canned meats, fruits, vegetables, cereal and pasta. Monetary donations can be made at NourishUp.org/Meck-Cares, where every dollar will be matched by Lowe’s to extend the impact.

“We believe in stepping up for our neighbors when they need us most. By partnering with Nourish Up, we hope to meet the members of our community where they are and ensure families across our community have access to the food and resources they need to get through this challenging time.” Sean Riley, Regional Vice President
