The Center for Deaf-Blind Persons (CDBP) is Wisconsin’s only organization dedicated to empowering individuals with dual sensory loss by providing essential training and support for independent living. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, CDBP will renovate its kitchen and create an adaptive community learning space, incorporating accessible cabinetry, tactile pathways, adaptive appliances, and technology to enhance safety and usability. These improvements will provide a state-of-the-art environment where individuals with Deaf-Blindness can develop vital life skills, fostering independence, dignity, and community inclusion.
