Since 1988, St. Joseph the Worker has provided pathways to self-sufficiency, with employment as the foundation of all we do. The Lowe’s Hometowns grant will enable the organization to renovate its Workforce Villages Re-entry Program home, replacing essential elements such as subflooring, flooring, baseboards, kitchen cabinets, kitchen countertops, a new kitchen window, painting, and electrical work. These improvements will create a safe space for women exiting the justice system, offering them a place to rebuild their lives, secure employment, and achieve long-term stability, ultimately breaking the cycle of poverty and recidivism.
