Children’s Homes of Iredell County is a foster care agency that is dedicated to empowering at-risk children and young adults, helping them overcome adversity and reach their full potential through evidence-based programs and family-modeled environments. With the Lowe’s Hometowns grant, the agency will renovate an existing transitional living home by adding three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchenette/social area, increasing capacity to serve up to six additional residents. These improvements will provide young adults aging out of foster care with a safe, supportive space to develop essential life skills, while fostering a more resilient, thriving community by reducing the long-term costs of homelessness and instability.
